We were commissioned to design the 2011 edition of the UCD undergraduate prospectus, a project which we have completed over the past four years.
This year’s design takes the distinctive aesthetic we have developed in previous years and evolves it so that the content and design are kept up-to-date for prospective students. It was important that the updated design retains the functionality of the prospectus as a clear and concise information resource for both students and parents.
Interspersed throughout the publication are new pathway models. We devised a small number of these before, but their number has expanded greatly this year: with one for each programme area. These models give students an accessible insight into their study and career paths throughout their university experience at UCD.
The finished printed piece is a high-end information document which represents UCD as the leading university in Ireland. A fact reflected by the Irish Times, who reported UCD Science’s undergraduate intake at 120% greater than the previous year: no mean feat.
